Thursday night October 20th from 5PM to 6PM, Ohr Torah will host its Second Annual Childrens Hakafot in the Kiddush Room. Israeli flags and song sheets will be provided as we dance with the Torah to usher in the start of Simchat Torah. In addition, a light pareve dinner will be provided for children and their parents including bagels, tuna and egg salad and cupcakes for dessert! Candy bags will be handed out at the Shul Hakafot later that evening. There is no registration necessary…just come and enjoy!
In addition there will be a Youth Program on Shmini Atzeret, Thursday October 20th starting at 10 AM however there will be no program on Simchat Torah. We will resume on Shabbat October 22nd at 10 AM.
Purim night March 19th at Ohr Torah will be a blast! We are privileged to be hosting 2 amazing childrens entertainers starting at 8:45 PM. First, John Carlson, the Northeast's Most Popular Magician, Ventriloquist and Family Entertainer will be dazzling us with some magic tricks that will leave you mesmerized! Simultaneously, Tickles the Clown will be painting our childrens faces. More surprises await. Come join us in the back of the Kiddush Room and in the classrooms for loads of Purim 5771 fun!
We will heading on Sunday 4/10 to the NJ Devils vs Boston Bruins hockey game leaving by bus from the Shul at 2:00 PM and returning to OT at 6:45 PM. All children (2nd grade and up), teenagers and parents are welcome to join. This is fan appreciation day at the Prudential Center, home of the NJ Devils, and there will be lots of giveaways. Furthermore, each person in attendance will receive a $10 food and beverage card which can be used at the kosher stand in the arena! All this Pre-Pesach fun is just $45 per person!
Ohr Torah is heading this Sunday 11/28/10 to the NJ Nets vs Portland Trail Blazers basketball game by coach bus leaving the Shul at 5 PM sharp and returning to OT at 10:30 PM. All children (2nd grade and up), teenagers and parents are welcome to join. In addition, the first 32 children to sign up will receive a special opportunity to line up on the court pre-game and high-five the NJ Nets basketball players and other surprises await! Also, snacks will be provided on the bus ride. All this Pre-Chanukah fun is just $40 per person.
